• “The COVID-19 pandemic represented an unprecedented setting for the spread of online misinformation, manipulation, and abuse, with the potential to cause dramatic real-world consequences.” – (Ferrara, 2020).
• “We observed three recurring behaviors: sharing positive stories and promoting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) pandemic response, rewriting recent history in a manner favorable to the CCP as the coronavirus pandemic evolved, and using targeted ads to spread preferred messages.– (Molter, 2020).

▪ Are young people in Lithuania capable to differ fake information from true?
▪ What tools should be used to improve youngsters’ critical thinking?
Hypothesis: Young people in Lithuania are aware of propaganda surrounding them.

Methods
The collected data will be analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. More specifically, closed-ended questions will be analyzed using quantitative analysis and open-ended – qualitative.

“YouTube videos where Putin is god: Dd. There he talks to a student who is on the Navalny side and Putin very illogically says things, but the captions tell how cool he is and how he placed the student to his place.
And in fb there is a lot of fake information about LGBT issues. There were all sorts of false statements about the Istanbul Convention.”
“About vaccines, diet and weight loss tips, as well as lots of “psychological facts”, especially in tiktok, where everyone is diagnosed with adhd.”
