American poetry since 1945

In this work I will analyze American poetry since 1945: the anti – tradition. There are a lot of famous poets in America, and they are attached for different periods by their writing’s temper. So, I will tell about American poetry since 1945, and it is important period as and other. This period is distributing to other small periods. There are so many writers, whose are known in the whole world. Some of them are Richard Hugo, Sylvia Plath, Theodore Roethke and other. These and unnamed poets made a big influence in American literature. In spite of the death of some poets, their works are still popular and interesting.
The events since World War II have given a sense of history as discontinuous: each act, emotion, and moment is seen as unique. Style and form now seem temporary, reflexive of the process of composition and the writer’s self – awareness. Now new tradition is becoming by originality. The mass rise of technologic is upstaging naturalism. From a private, literate culture, the written base of book, has replaced to media culture attuned the voice on the radio, the music of compact discs and cassettes, film, and the images on the television screen. American poetry has been directly influenced by mass media and electronic technology. From the late 1950s to American seeking alternatives, individual poetry seems more perfect than before: it was the big shock of technology and mass society.
The contemporary American poetry is decentralized, richly varied, and impossible to summarize.
Traditional poets have maintained or refreshed poetic traditions. Idiosyncratic poets have used both traditional and innovative techniques in creating unique voices. Experimental poets have courted new cultural styles.
