The process of education is a very important and responsible job, which requires an active collaboration between school and family.This process can not be finished, because we educate children, so a problem is constantly real.
The beginning of our way in our life begins in a family, later-it continues at school. But when you let your child to go to school, it does not mean that the whole responsibility of the education belongs on the school. The school is a major social character, which should more actively involve parents and teachers in their collaboration. Only doing this with the family, the school can better know a child, his character and his likes. So communicating and educating proactive, independant, responsible and creative person, we can look for and find out different forms of collaboration. Also we should motivate the child as a succesor of our traditions and as a citizen, who can work and live in a constantly changeable and dynamic society. It is important that parents could be involved in the school‘s life not only as quests, but as equal partners and allies. There are given quite prosperous circumstances for parents to be involved in actively organised work at school.
The aim of my work is to know the facilities in the collaboration between school and family in after school activities.
180 respondents, 45 parents, 30 teachers and 105 pupils of primary classes (the 3rd-4th forms) took part in a survey. After having done the anonymous survey, a review of the results and the analysis of pedagogical and psychological literature, we can maintain that:
teachers not very effectively communicate with parents, and teachers don’t organize and invite parents to organize after school activities. We should find more different ways, if we want to have a better contact between school and family.
