Political situation in Lithuania

Political situation in Lithuania is not really stable. Nowadays very much politicians are found out to be corrupted. Our government contains of old men which are in power since times when Lithuania was a part o USSR. A big lie campaigns begin before the elections when politicians come to streets and start to share promises and guaranties people a perfect life without any problems. Everybody knows that politics is not so simple and easy changeable thing and it is not possible to keep promises that politicians give to people. But everybody always believes in those same men that from times immemorial tell sweet lies but gives nothing useful to us. The coalition of four parties is in power now, it contains from Social Liberals, Social Democrats, Peasant and Labour parties. In the year 2004 Rolandas Paksas, the Ex President, who compromised, was replaced by Valdas Adamkus, who is in power till now. In 2003 Lithuania entered the EU and NATO and became an equal partner of European economical and political life. We get much financial supports for all social and economic ranges, Europe opened to us all its borders. Our people now have chance to travel and change their living place much easier...
