Abstract
This report is about two games which are currently in production. The first of these games has been in production for 12 months and the games development is being run by a company by the name of LapTopWorld. The second game has been in production for 24 months and the company developing it is called Computers4You.
In this report you will have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of these businesses, how they are run and about their games production. Furthermore, this report will give a comparison of both businesses and investigate the actions needed for their future success in games development.
Introduction
For the last two months two simulated businesses have been created in the game ‘SimVenture’. This game allows the user to setup and run a simulated business. The first business that was created was called LapTopWorld. The game simulated a 12 month period in the running of this business. The second business was called Computers4You and it was run for a 24 month period. Both of these simulated businesses were concerned with the production and sale of computer games.
In the SimVenture game the user is in control of the running of a business. It is the responsibility of the user to create a business and make it successful. This is achieved by making decisions concerning the running of the business. These include making decisions on the business’s finances, operations, sales, marketing, legal issues and distribution.
In this report a detailed analysis of the main aspects of running these businesses will be made with a strategic analysis made of the potential future productivity of Computers4You. There will also be a comparison made between the two businesses created.
