Business competition is becoming more like the economic model of perfect competition

In the beginning of this essay I would like to give my point of view how do I understand this question.
I think it is about all small business which used to compete with each other some time ago. However, in nowadays there established a number of big supermarkets which start dominate in business. That is why industries start divide into categories depending on how powerful companies are between each other.
In this essay to answer the question “Business competition is becoming more like the economic model of perfect competition”, I will look at all four categories of market structure which are: perfect competition, monopolistic competition, monopoly and oligopoly, to understand which structures business contains from.
The structure of my essay will contain all these categories as well as some examples about them and negative points about perfect competition and oligopoly. In the end of it I will give some case for and against Kris’s view.
As I mentioned in introduction to agree or disagree with Kris’s view that “Business competition is becoming more like the economic model of perfect competition” I will start from description of Perfect competition.
• Many buyers and sellers without “market power” to set their own price.
• Identical products, customers have no loyalty.
• Perfect information about products, prices and technology, customers knows where the price is high.
• Zero cost movement, customers do not need to buy locally.
• No entry or exit barriers.
The second market structure is Monopolistic competition. This can be described as market structure which has many companies competing with some level of market power, which helps them to choose the price for the products or services they want to sell. Moreover, monopolistic competition has special aspect which is: despite many firms in the business you will find only one firm in particular location. Most of all it applies...
