Fundamentals and management: UAB "Risuva"

Lithuanian UAB “Risuva” was founded in 2003. The company concentrates on wholesaling and retailing constructional materials: paints, coats, varnishes, concrete and etc. At the very beginning it was a small shop and was selling mostly wallpapers. There were only 2 workers. But soon two more workers, accountant and the second shop assistant, were employed. With a time the stock of products became larger, the company began to grow, changed it workplace to a bigger and now includes 8 fixed workers. And it continues to grow. Customers vary from a single person to big building companies, with which normally contracts are signed. Contracts let people from that organization make orders and take products during the month and pay for them only in the end of the month. If there is no such thing in the shop that would satisfy customer, it can be always ordered and delivered in maximum a week time straight to the customer. Big quantity orders must be done in a couple of days before to let them arrive from the storage. The variety of products now is such that can satisfy the needs of mostly any customer. The “Risuva” is representative of many companies in its region like Lithuanian “Broland”, “Elektra”, “Igis” and foreign well known “Crown”, “Caparol”, “Leyland” and etc.
As it was said previously, now in the company works 8 people: 3 shop-assistants, cleaner, accountant, sales manager, director, who is also one of the 4 shareholders of the company itself.
All people communicate very easily with each other, are very friendly, there is no pressure or tension inside the organization. During important decision making all opinions (except of cleaner) are taken into account. Shareholders move to the scene of action only when big money deals, questions about investing and sharing profit appear.
