The Critical Thinking is the most important skill to be developed in education process

Critical thinking is a high-priority ability nowadays. As stated by the World Economic Forum, it is the second of the top 10 required abilities in 2020. Critical Thinking is an active process, which involves reading, listening, writing and speaking. It begins with conscious accumulation of information and ends with a well-informed decision. Critical Thinking can have profound impact on nearly every aspect of children’s life. It helps to make sense of the world around them. In this essay I will argue that Critical Thinking is the most important skill acquired in primary education process, it should be developed since childhood, because it involves a lot of skills required in the future.
First and foremost, Critical Thinking involves a lot of skills. According to A. Doye (2019), first and the most important skill is analytical skill. People with analytical skills can analyse information and understand the importance of it. The other, is communication skill, it is the ability to work with others and communicate adequately to find out decisions to complex problems. Furthermore, Critical thinking often involves some level of creativity. It helps to look at information like no one else has thought like this before. Also, you should be more open-minded. To think critically, you need to be able to give up all assumptions or decisions and just analyse the information you get objectively. Thus, all of these skills are very important for future life, studies, career.
Another important factor is the methods for developing Critical Thinking. According to S. Milam (2017), first and the most important step for developing Critical Thinking skills is becoming a self-critic. Without self-reflection, people can’t grow.
