Opinion on Confucius

This passage appears in the section on studying and learning. By saying this Confucius means that clothes should not be important to scholar, knowledge and truth is what one should worry about. He also means that a person who worries about such materialistic things is not interesting and not worth to talk to. To Confucius truth and knowledge are really important and while trying to learn, one should not worry about anything materialistic, any surroundings.
Life is constant learning: never too late never too much. True scholar does not waste energy being ashamed of old clothes and plain food. True scholar goes much deeper and tries to find the way to improvement by devoting oneself to learning and finding the path to truth.
Also in regards to the first passage on benevolence, Confucius added: ”A man of jen (charity) is one who in seeking to establish himself finds a foothold for others, and who desiring attainment for himself helps others to attain. ”Confucius pictured man as social creature who is bound to always help his fellow men and is supposed to live his life in the family.
I agree with Confucius opinion as he was (and I am) inclined to see the better part of man’s nature. As a practical matter Confucius understood the need for explicit moral instruction. Confucius viewed fulfillment of man'’ nature as the happiness achieved by the daily practice of charity and benevolence. Thus we can say that the best and the noblest in man is benevolence, the completeness of man’s humanity in the exercise of perfect virtue. I also think in order to be listened to and respected one needs to listen and to respect. To me this is a part of bringing the best in others.
In conclusion, the best but not necessary the easiest way to live...
