Leadership and management play a crucial role in companies’ management. Every company talks about leadership training, there are hundreds of training companies offering leadership courses, yet for all this companies lack leaders, or at least good leaders. There were made a lot of research to better understand the implications of leadership style and of specific characteristics (such as the differences between men and women, cultural differences, differences between different categories of organizations) of the performance of leaders and of their organizations. Also, over time, a lot of theoretical concepts have been developed to identify and prescribe the best performing style and to steer leadership towards the most effective and efficient one. With all these results of leadership research, leadership is a broad land for further investigations.
• New ways of organizing: organizations are, in fact, networks in continuous change, and bureaucracy is avoided at all costs
• Transition to knowledge work: knowledge management has become a key factor.
Leaders need to adapt to their changing environments. It can be learned by developing personal and other traits and also by formulating value orientation, by which are based manager decisions, managing traits and behaviour patterns, securitied organization development and formatting. Further companies need a leaders in the organization and high-level executives, as well as internal net-workers and community leaders, who can motivate and direct the organization and its members to learn to adapt to changes.
Purpose
The purpose of master work is to find answer to following questions:

• What qualities should person have to be a good leader?
• Is it possible to grow from average manager to outstanding leader?
• How can leaders be trained, and how can it be done efficiently?
