T. shows the pictures in the book for the students. T. starts with the question: What are the people doing? What is unusual about it? Why is sport important to us?
One by one Ss. say what they can see in the pictures.

Vocabulary presentation
Methods:
Illustrative sentences,
definitions

T. says the new word and repeats it a few times, then gives the definition. If Ss. still don't know the meaning, T. gives a definition in other words. T. says the word and Ss. Repeat in chorus. Then the T writes the word on the blackboard with a transcription and asks students to repeat the word once again.
Ss. Repeat the words together with T., try to guess the meaning and write down the words, transcription and the meaning into vocabularies and repeat the words once again.
