The farmer as manager

I dare to say that this book is not hard to read and understand about what the authors wrote. This book could be suitable not just for students of general agriculture and farm management taking courses at colleges and universities, but and hints on housekeeping for simples people which have grange. Inasmuch most people have little comprehension how to use finance and other recourses, sometimes they do a lot of things, that are not profitable. Therefore I think that every man or woman should know about simple economy in life.

´ Final thoughts´ are simply the thoughts with which we would like to leave the reader. They reflect something of the shared philosophy that the authors have on many (but not all) aspects of management. Perhaps, therefore, they are our first thoughts as well as our last.
The questions are not intended to be an examination for me or another reader but rather to provide a check on the extent to which the principal message contained in each chapter has been understood and remembered. Occasional reference back to them might be a convenient way of recalling material that has been read. They may also provide the basis for discussion at farmers’ meetings and others occasions.
The annotated references to other works are mainly offered where the further elaboration of an idea or technique would have been beyond the intended scope and length of this book, or because we would like to encourage further reading in certain areas. These references have been carefully selected and have been very strictly limited in number; we know us addressing busy people.
There is one more thing to mention here. It would be tedious to refer throughout the book to ‘farmers and farm managers’ when we simply mean ‘those who manage farms’. The two...
