INTRODUCTION
Performance appraisal has been around for hundreds of years, as it is only human nature to evaluate fellow colleagues. It helps organization to reach better results, so employers pay more and more attention to it. Companies try to introduce it in their business in order to get much better quality of work, efficiency and superior working results. Unfortunately, the performance appraisal is not well developed in Lithuania nowadays. But it is not a surprise, because human resource department is not explicated in Lithuanian companies’ life. It is just in a creation process. It was very difficult to find a company which will allow us to use their information. So we decided to choose students performance appraisal. Students same as company’s employees work in the teams with different colleagues, prepare different tasks and participate in community life. Students make their business to represent their university as good education institution, they have strong university commitment as employees have strong organization commitment. While evaluating individuals working in teams we can ascertain to which extent they give their attention to team through their performance. We believe that individuals performance will represent the situation that happens in company’s environment. That’s the main reason why we chose them.
