women would have thought it improper to enter the forest with baskets attached by regular rope
ends to do berry or mushroom harvesting. Instead, each basket was held up by a series of
handwoven bands that were attractive to look at because they were all unique in terms of colours
and designs and may have been freshly woven, braided, or knitted. Attaching handwoven multi-
