INTRODUCTION
Nowadays we hear the word “globalisation” more and more often. We are sure, that most of people don’t know what this terminal mean. We can say, that globalisation is very wide word, which raise a lot of questions for all the people in the world. Globalisation includes a lot of departments. Every scientist find a new description for this phenomena. Economists look globalisation from one side, environmentalists-from the other side, politicians-from the third side and etc. Everyone can see a lot of negative and positive things in this process. Also there are a lot of global organizations in the world. So the main our purposes are:
• To know what it is globalisation and when did it start;
• Review the main global organizations;
• Overlook the changes of globalisation in 1980-2000;
• Ravel negative and positive points of globalisation.
What is globalisation?
Globalisation is a complicated, evolving process, but it could be described as the ‘free’ exchange of capital (money), information, people and ideas across the world. It is free in the sense that these processes are not under the control of any state, organisation or company, but free trade takes place within the framework set by the World Trade Organization (WTO). The movement of goods and services around the world has been enabled by the growth of global transport and communications – computers and air travel in particular.
Many parts of the globalisation process are not new – there has been trade for many centuries between countries. Camels, elephants and mules trekked across land with loads of silk and spices to trade with neighbouring countries. People built boats to cross the sea. What has speeded the process up is technological development and the growth of consumerism, so now there is a ‘global marketplace’, a ‘global workforce’ and companies manufacturing ‘global brands’ – Coca Cola, McDonalds...
