In this report, we will discuss the causes, effects, and solutions to water pollution.
The major causes of water pollution are human activities. Industries, agriculture, and urbanization are the primary sources of water pollution. Industrial wastewater, agricultural runoff, and urban sewage are the main pollutants that enter water bodies. Industrial wastewater contains toxic chemicals such as heavy metals, organic compounds, and suspended solids. Agricultural runoff contains pesticides, fertilizers, and animal waste. Urban sewage contains human waste, detergents, and other household chemicals.
Apart from human activities, natural causes such as volcanic eruptions and soil erosion can also contribute to water pollution. However, these natural causes are minor compared to human activities.

Polluted water can cause deformities, diseases, and even death of aquatic animals. Moreover, contaminated water can also affect the food chain, leading to the extinction of some species.
