 Every country has one’s language. Popular language in the world is English.
Today many people believe that English is the most valuable foreign language for them. English is a widely language originating in England, United Kingdom and is currently the primary language in several countries. It is extensively used as a second language and as an official language in many other countries.
An estimated 400 million people speak English. English is the dominant international language in communications, science, business, aviation, diplomacy and the internet. It has been one of the official languages of the United Nations. English language was founding in 1945.
English is a West Germanic language which developed from Old English. English is by far the most important language to learn in the modern world. After all, it is the language of the future.
Now I want to speak about our National language – Lithuania.
Phonologically, Lithuania is characterized by phonemically distinctive long or short vowels. This it is most distinctive feature. Vowels can be either short or long. Lithuanian consonants can be either patalized or nonpatalized.
Morphologically, the Lithuanian language has a much diversified arsenal of inflectional types and word – forming means. The nouns, adjective, numerals and pronouns have the categories of gender, number and case.
Nominal word in Lithuania, especially nouns can be supplied with a huge variety of suffixes. The verb system is intricate. Inflections, suffixes and affected stems indicate mood, number, tense and person.
