Lithuanian museums

The museum contains 7 areas, which are The Lobby, Temporary Exhibition, Planetarium, Nature Gallery, Machine Gallery, Human Gallery, and Back of The House. All of them is hidden under the island’s surface and covered with greenery. That was done to preserve the cityscape as well as the natural landscape of Nemunas Island to signal its existence. Secondly, this science museum encourages exploration. A lobby welcomes visitors with a set of stairs that leads to the galleries, auditoriums, and planetarium areas. Thin structural columns and translucent wall define the boundaries throughout the museum. Therefore, activities can be arranged considerably, and can be seen trough. That includes the utility system, which located in the Back of The House. Moreover, the administration office and laboratory are also designed with similar approach without disregarding its specific requirements. Because, in the end, everything is treasury in Kaunas Sciences Museum.
The Museum of the History of Lithuanian Education is one of the oldest museums in independent Lithuania, founded in 1922 in Kaunas. During the years of the museum's operation, the status, name, address and areas of activity of the museum have changed several times. The idea to establish a museum arose by accident. The Ministry of Education, seeing the difficult situation of teachers at the time, exhibition was organized at the primary school.
