Lithuania identity

Lithuania, officially known as the Republic of Lithuania, is a country in central Europe, on the southeast coast of the Baltic Sea. Lithuania is the most populous and largest Baltic state. Lithuania has relatively flat terrain, with the exception of hilly plains in the east and west that do not rise above 300 meters above sea level. Lithuania has a land area of 65.3 thousand km2. Forests and abundant lakes and wetlands cover nearly 33% of the country's land area. The country borders Latvia, Belarus, Poland and Russia. Vilnius, the country's capital, is the largest city. Other major cities include Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, and Panevezys. Lithuania is one of the world's oldest countries; it has been attacked, shot at, and burned for many years, but it has survived to the present day.
Lithuania has been a member of the European Union since 2004, and the country is a member of the eurozone. Lithuania is a high-income developed (hai incom develop) economy with a high standard of living, and the level of civil liberties (liberys), media freedom, internet freedom, and democracy (demakrase) in Lithuania are highly valued.
