Is pornography morally wrong

Answering the question about morality of pornography, we could face the same difficulties as answering any other question which requires a particular answer: yes or no. There is never one direct answer. There always appears “but”.
Despite of this ambiguity, I will try to find my way out of this confusing situation.
When I think of phenomenon of pornography, I find a lot of contradictions. So, the best way to look at this problem would be to try to look from the both sides. In this essay I will try to find out the positive and negative effects of this phenomenon on society. And then to “weight” my findings for discovering a concrete final answer, if the pornography is morally wrong or not.
So, in defense of pornography it is necessary to notice, that the history of porno is old as civilization. The curiosity of sexuality of human beings was vivid from the ancient times. So, it may be considered as natural phenomenon which is familiar and common to every human. It was growing and developing with our society. As well as morality, that is very volatile and is changing trough ages. What was considered as unforgivable and inappropriate action in the 14th century has become a normal and casual thing nowadays.

For example, couples living together before marriage. Or holding hands and kissing with your beloved in the park. “What is a big deal about it?” – A natural question could arise for any typical citizen of the world. But a man transferred here in a time machine from the middle ages probably would get a heart attack and will not manage to curse everyone he would like to for debauchery. For that person it would definitely be a morally wrong way of living.
