Introduction
In nowadays tourism is very popular topic in all over the world. In worldwide tourism business there are working more than tens of millions people. Tourism like a phenomenon, that we see it today, created worldwide not so long ago (because to become a complex system, tourism had to go long development road).
Hotel is one of tourism’s meanings. Hotel-it’s an establishment where accommodation, nourishment and other services are offered for specific amount of money.
To compare how the hotels looked like before with nowadays modern and extremely huge hotels, we can say that hotel business is perspective and profitable not only in the entire world but also in Lithuania. Though to reach the level like it is abroad is very hard, but with time tourism’s index should get better and higher, and Lithuania should reach approximately the same tourism level as it is in other countries. From the beginning of second millennium the number of foreign tourism is growing constantly. One of the most cities where travelers go is Lithuania’s capital-Vilnius. That’s where I also did my second internship. Therefore in this report of mine I’m going to review hotel’s structure and how it achieves in Lithuanian system.
Receptionist job description
In “Le Meridien” hotel’s handouts it says that:
General part:
• To be Front office department’s receptionist can work if he/she has higher diploma, has good level in Lithuanian, English and Russian languages, and has good knowledge how to work with computer
• Before receptionist is starting to work, he has to check his/her health and present the document with the information about health and First-aid rendering document
