Violet Sorrengail (Violence) – 20-year-old girl who was supposed to enter scribe’s quadrant (just like her father) but her mother (the Commanding general) has other plans and orders her to seek entry into the (dragon) Riders Quadrant which is extremely dangerous and deadly. She has silver strain hair, brown eyes. Her power is lightning wielding.
Xaden Riorson – Fen Riorson’s son (the traitor) is a fourth wing wingleader and also one of 107 traitors’ kids carrying a rebellion relic. He is described as taller than 6 feet, with onyx color eyes, very fast and deadly. Also, he has 107 scars on his back. His power is shadow wielding.
Dain Aetos – he is first and best (later in the book that changes) Violet’s friend. His power is memory reading.
Rhiannon – fourth wing rider, Violet’s friend.
Bodhi – third-year rider, Xaden’s cousin also has a rebellion relic.
Tairneanach (Tairn) – black dragon bonded to Violet, one of the biggest dragons.
