Today I will be presenting a bar chart about the use of harmful subbstances and addictions amongst the EU citizens. 37 percent of respondents answered that they regularly use tobacco products. About a quarter of citizens said that they usually consume alcohol. And the least amount of respondents fall to the category of drug abuse. Being an avid user of substances that can make you develop an addiction is extremely harmful to your health. Smoking, drinking alcohol and using drugs can lead to different heart diseases, cancer, diabetes and even chronic disorders. Alcohol also interacts with many prescription medications, causing dangerous side effects. Some young people are still very keen on trying these substances even though they are usually very well aware of the consequences. With young people in particular, taking drugs, smoking, drinking alcohol can be part of natural rebellion, sometimes it even may be associated with belonging to an alternative culture.
