THE PROBLEMS OF A MODERN CITY.
What are cities for cars or for people? It is a very popular question nowadays.
As everyone knows a modern city is a very difficult place to move about in. Most old and narrow streets are unsuitable for cars. And the worst problem for drivers is to get to the center because there are lots of traffic jams. It is a pity that there are not enough roads to meet the demand. And I do not believe the guarantee the tree flow of traffic along the city’s main streets and avoid getting stuck in traffic.
Transport in the big city is so drastic and I think there is no such way which would be able to avoid getting stuck and traffic jams. It is a pity that there is no such service which would be able to destroy congestion in the roads.
Cars have become overwhelmingly the means of transport chosen by people because cars are more comfortable and much faster then all kinds of public transport. Unfortunately, it is a choice to which people are particulary ill-suited. But of course Public transport is also no good in this situation. All buses are overloaded and it is difficult to get a seat there. People who rely on buses often complain that they do not run often enough and when they do arrive, they are often full and uncomfortable. As for trains, very few people use them to travel to work because they are slow and infrequent.
Driving to work with the congestion and difficulty of finding parking space is just not worth the hassle.
And there is one more problem. Underground and buses are regarded to be overpriced. Public transport is regarded to be inefficient and overpriced. That means that public transport is getting more and more expensive nowadays, and...
