My future job in journalism

Since the beginning of my school days, people have always asked me what I want to be when I grow up. It has always seemed like a simple question. I always knew that I want to become a teacher, whereas my friends had many different career paths in their minds. My desire was to help children learn something new in a fun and meaningful way. But in this fast-changing world as you get older you understand that not everything happens as you imagined many years ago. They say your career should be a pursuit that you never grow tired of, that your interest is so deep in that you can never soak up too much knowledge of the subject. Recently, I had an opportunity to volunteer as a journalist and I feel so lucky for it. It has revealed that I have a lot more passion for earning a living as a journalist than a teacher. I think I would probably opt for this job. And I’m about to give you a privileged peek through the curtains about it.
First of all, when journalism is chosen as a career, society tends to have a stereotypical image of a group of photographers chasing celebrities or a person trying to manipulate the truth. They are all wrong. It’s a full-time job because you have to be aware of what is happening, commit oneself to attend events, be sensible, easy-going, and persistent. Personally, for me, it is the golden opportunity to discover new places around, entry to exclusive events and not be stuck behind...
