Love

My talk focuses on the issue of love and today I want to expand the theme of unreturned affection, in other words – unrequited love. The love in most cases is pictured as a feel-good factor. It sometimes looks like the media is putting on people rose-tinted glasses and showing that love is only rainbows and butterflies. I want to put these glasses aside and describe how the real pain of love feels, why person need to know that feeling and how pain affects peoples’ life.

Love is often described as euphoric, caught in a moment, feeling. Person feels like he has someone to lean on and has a soft spot for his significant other – this is that social media show to society. The hotly disputed claim is why in social media everything is so fake, even the purest feeling on earth – love. Actually, no one is talking about the dark side of love – heartbreaks and unreturned affection. Unrequited love can drive people toward self-destructive behavior, take a stalking and mania, for example. Knowing that person does not have the same feelings makes person feel miserable, because he would not feel all this much-respected type of love that is showed by the media. Most importantly, the broken one needs to feel and know how to deal with his emotions, because it can lead to depression and suicide. The unreturned love affect person to feel unwanted and never good enough – the description of insecure creature, which wears his heart on his sleeve. Knowing emotions, will help people to find help in the right time.
