1 Character of descriptive and prescriptive laws.

2. Sources of modern law.

13 There are two main traditions of law in the world. One is based on English Common law and the other tradition is known as Continental, or Roman law.
14 Common law differ from Continental law in having developed gradually throughout history, nota s the result of government attempts to define every legal relation.
