J. Lennox-Smith "Till the day goes down"

 A story “Till the day goes down” by Judith Lennox-Smith is a lively, historical and adventure story about the life of Forster family. The action of the story is set in the 16th century, in the days when the brain trust of England’s Elizabeth I suspected that the forces in France, Spain and Scotland were mulling over the possibility of removing the Queen and replacing her with the imprisoned Mary of Scotland.
Arabel Forster is the main female character of the story. After the death of her mother, Arabel and her half-sister Christie arrive to Adderstone and are adopted by their aunt Margaret Forster. Arable and Christie were inseparable from each other all the time and they were the best sisters, the best friends and companions that loved each other very much. Aunt Margaret had three sons that adored Arabel. But Margaret’s brother Stephen Ridley of nearby Black Law hated Christie, because she was Margaret’s dead brother Davey’s legitimate daughter and the Black Law belonged to her, not to Stephen as he wanted. Christie and others learn about this fact only at the end of the story.
Rob Forster had proposed marriage to Arabel, but she refused. Mark had given her a puppy that Arabel loved and admired it very much and looked after it as it was her own child. But at the end of the story her husband Stephen Ridley jugulated the dog in front of Arabel’s eyes.
Arabel showed sympathy to Luke Ridley, but he didn’t show any interest towards her. There was only one night when Arabel and Luke spent together, but after it Luke did not look at Arabel any more.
One day Luke Ridley was taken to prison and he was offered to work as a spy for Francis Walsingham. Luke had to undertake dangerous spy mission,...
