W. Irving "Rip Van Winkle"

 Washington Irving “Rip Van Winkle” Washington Irvings’ story “Rip Van Winkle” is based on german legend. There are some few historical facts, events and imagery. The story is pretty complicated to understand and find the right point of view. The storys’ content is simple but very dynamic in some cases. The story, then, is about a good-natured fellow Rip Van Winkle. The narrator reveals to the reader the unseen and the interior monologue of Rip Van Winkle which expresses his character features, desires and disappointment about his petty life. But the story doesn’t stop here. I am going to try to penetrate what is the most important in this Washington Irvings’ story. The movement of the story goes linear, every detail has its’ place. At the very beginning the narrator opens a series of sceneries of great nature which gives some imagination to the reader: “
