S. McCullagh "The wild witches and the talsiman"

I have read a book “The Wild Witches and the Talisman” by Sheila McCullagh, which was published in 1983. It is a story like a fairy-tale, because there are a lot of fairy things like witches, talismans, flying brooms and magic.
The main actors in this story are Jessica and her brother Simon. They live with Auntie Lizzie and Uncle Joe, because their parents had died in the car crash. When Jessica and Simon come to live in The Yard they find two old coins and meet Tim. But isn’t until they meet Tim that they discover what they really are. Tim has one coin too. The coins are magic tokens and when they are wearing the magic tokens they can see the Hidden People – the people nobody else can see. There is Melinda, the ‘safe’ witch, who can work magic; Tobias, the cat who can fly a broomstick; Sebastian, Tim’s cat; Captain Jory; the Hidden People from Hollow Hill and many others.
One day Tim says to Jessica that The Hidden people have a big problem. The wild witches came down from the north and drove out the Hidden People, who were living in Hollow Hill. Now they are living in Piper’s wood and need theirs help. Tim, Jessica and Simon fly to Melinda’s house and get to know everything about the wild witches. Flying a broomstick was the most exiting thing they have ever do. They hear about the talisman and...
