Time expressions used with present simple: every day/month/hour/summer/morning/evening, etc., usually, often, sometimes, always, etc., on Sundays/Tuesdays and etc.
Present continuous, use:
(form: verb to be [am/is/are]+ main verb -ing)
• actions happening now, at the moment of speaking (exp: He is watching TV now)
• actions happening around the time of speaking (exp: She is working from home this week)
• fixed arrangements in the near future, especially when we know the time and the place (exp: Ben is driving us to school tomorrow)
• temporary situations (exp: Lisa is working part time before college starts again)
• changing or developing situations (exp: Tom is getting better and better at French)
• frequently repeated actions with always, constantly, continually to express annoyance or critism (exp: Liam is always making noise at late nights)
Note: the following verbs do not usually have a continuous form: have(=posses), like, love, hate, want, know, remember, forget, understand, think, believe, cost, etc.
Time expressions: now, at the moment, at present, nowadays, these days, today, tomorrow and etc.
Present perfect, use:
(form: have/has + past participle)
• for actions which started in the past and continue up to the present especially with stative verbs such as be, have, like, know, etc. (exp: Alex has been friends with Ben for ten years. He met Ben ten years ago and they're still friends.)
• to talk about a past action which has a visible result in the present. (exp:...
