Opinion essay on charities

Our school wants to give €500 to support one of the following charities – UNICEF or Friends of the Earth. I personally think that we should choose UNIFEC because this charity helps children that desperately need help.
UNICEF stands for The United Nations Children’s Fund. UNICEF is an international charity which defends children’s rights. It works with families, communities and governments in more than 190 countries and aims to protect children from exploitation, violence and poverty.
In countries with weaker economy children aren’t able to feed or educate themselves. They have to starve and usually die. Approximately 3,2 million children under the age of 5 die from starvation each year. UNICEF makes sure to give food to every child and their families with the money they get from government or people’s kindness.
It is also important to note that not only starvation is killing children. Almost 3,500 children under the age of 15 die because of physical abuse all around the world. 120 million girls are experiencing...
