Nowadays over five out of seven billion people have their personal mobile phones. This number has increased by four billion since 2002. Considering the fact that a large section of the world’s population is too young to use them, it can be said that mobile phone ownership is now universal. Phone’s main abilities are to send messages and make phone calls. These features may be used for educational purposes, more specifically, M-learning project.
M-learning is useful for those, who can’t afford a computer or access Internet. To begin with, learning by sending messages or making phone calls is cheaper than learning online on the internet or printing and distributing the information on the paper. For some poorer regions of the world this aspect makes a big impact for people’s education. Secondly, students might send SMS messages to each other to discuss the texts they received.
