It is a common belief that most artists earn low salaries and should therefore receive funding from the government in order for them to continue with their work. While it is true that many artists struggle to make a living from their art, I do not fully agree with this view.
On one hand, it is true that many artists struggle to earn a decent living from their work. The arts industry is often precarious and competitive, and it can be difficult for artists to sustain themselves financially. Many artists have to supplement their income with part-time jobs or rely on financial support from family and friends.
However, I believe that government funding is not the only solution to this issue. There are other ways that we can support artists and ensure that they are able to continue with their work.
