Few of my neighbours recycle, so why should I? There’s a little point in doing it if no one else does it

These days people tend to pollute the environment in many ways without even thinking about the consequences. Pollution can be traipsed everywhere: the air we breathe, the water we drink, the soil we use to grow our food in all contribute to health problems and a lower quality of life with major disruptions and effects on wildlife and ecosystems. The vast majority think that their decision to recycle is meaningless because it will not reduce the pollution of the world. Of course, I agree that it is impossible for one person to change it, but I think that each of us should start from themselves.
