Lithuanian weather

Today I want to talk you about the weather in Lithuania. The weather is an important part of every human’s life. Millions of people tune into the weather forecast each evening on television.
Lithuania‘s climate is mild, it is transitional between maritime and continental. The average winter temperature is -5 degrees Celsius while the average summer temperature is about 18 degrees Celsius. Annually, there are from 40 to 100 foggy days and from 15 to 30 days with thunderstorms. We have four different seasons a year. It’s spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them consists of three months.
So the first season I want to talk about – spring. It consists of three months: March, April and May. It is the time when nature wakes up from winter sleep. At the beginning of spring the weather is a little bit cold, sometimes you can see snow. But days are longer nights shorter than in winter so sun is warmer and brighter.
