Life in Lithuania before 100 years

 Our life nowadays is really different compared with life before 100 years.
The end of XIX century in Lithuania and in all Europe was the time of troubles. There were many rebellions; also it was the time of occupations.
Lithuania was occupied by Russian and life was really hard here in the beginning of XX century. By the years 1864 Lithuanian press was banned. Schools of congregations [kongrigeishins] were closed and there were just schools, where everything was taught in Russian. Native language was declared like needless.
Although Lithuanian people didn’t resign to it, they founded secret schools; also there were some brave men who carried Lithuanian books printed in Karaliaucius or somewhere else to the people who didn’t want to forget native language.
Most part of Lithuanians lived in province in the end of XIX and in the beginning of XX centuries. So...
