Job and skills

Generally, people are required to work - and often work long hours - in order to earn enough money to live on. In these modern days there are a lot of jobs people can choose from, some require a higher education degree than others. There are also jobs that are very dangerous and because of that they are well paying. In the first Picture we can see an example of a risky job. The Picture shows a firefighter, it could be a woman or a man, probably a man. He is wearing special work clothes: a yellow jacket, black pants and a red helmet. He’s also holding a yellow hose and is trying to put out the fire with water that is coming out of the hose. I think he is maybe a bit worried about the fire. It also looks like he is in a forest, because in the background I can see trees, bushes and grass. In the second Picture I can see a woman; she looks serious because she is trying to explain something, and is a teacher she looks like she’s in her thirties. She’s sitting on a chair and there are 9 kids around her, they are all sitting on a colorful carpet and are listening to her. The image reminds me of a classroom, because in the background there are lots of posters, books a white board, and I can also see colorful backpacks. The kids look young so they might be in first grade. To sum up we can see that a job that requires more physical strength is usually done by a man, because women are more drawn to care positions such as health care, teaching. Of course nowadays everything is equal and women can work any job that men do. Also today, nearly every job requires a basic understanding of computers, and many jobs involve intermediate to advanced computer skills. This can include knowledge of specific software, applications or devices. Not only does computer literacy help in applying for jobs, but it may also increase your salary as you are able to take on more responsibilities. So to sum it all up, people work various types of jobs, but the most important thing is that your job should always bring you happiness and pride.
