How to make our planet a safer place to live

Since technology has not advanced far enough to take humans to another planet, Earth will still remain a place humans refer to as Home. Unfortunately, people do not care about the planet's well being, which will prove to be fatal for the human race in the long term. All the planet's resources have almost been used up. The earth starts to get sick, which results in catastrophes. The solutions must be found to make our planet a more secure place to reside.

One possible solution to the problem is to stop the mass urbanization. For example, the governments of each country in the world should stop or, at the very least, minimize the growth of the metropolises and the use of Earth's natural resources, such as coal, gas, oil and wood. As a result, the planet's ecosystem, with humanities additional help, will eventually restore itself to its initial state, which will lessen the occurrence of natural disasters or ecological catastrophes.
