File Transfer Protocol servers vs. copyrights

Copyright is the exclusive right of author of literary and artistic works such as novels, poems and plays, films, musical works, artistic works such as drawings, paintings, photographs and sculptures, and architectural designs. Rights related to copyright include those of performing artists in their performances, producers of phonograms in their recordings, and those of broadcasters in their radio and television programs. Such works are protected by law as well as industrial property, which include inventions, patents, trademarks, industrial designs, and geographic indications of source.1 With innovation of File Transfer Protocol, World Wide Web and other technologies it is became easy to infringe exclusive rights of authors. This paper will show what laws File Transfer Protocol servers abuse in Estonia Latvia and Lithuania.
Authors must receive something in exchange of their work if not there will be no progress in that area. It is why governments must to protect copyrights. By protecting copyrights it also protects nation’s culture and its development. Article 10 of Directive 2001/29/EC states that if authors or performers are to continue their creative and artistic work, they have to receive an appropriate reward for the use of their work, as must producers in order to be able to finance this work2. File Transfer Protocol servers and World Wide Web in sometimes limits rewards of authors simply by allowing people to copy their artistic work. Owners of such services are liable by national and international law.
Artistic works can be copied from one person to another without any dependence in which country they live, simply they need a personal computer or a laptop and connection to the internet. People can send, receive and transfer files which contain artistic work in digital format.
