England political system and economy

The subject of my presentation is England. As you know England is a part of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland. I’d ike to give you a brief overview about this country. I’ve divided my talk into three main sections. First of all I will tell about the political system of the United Kingdom. Then I will talk about economy of England. Thirdly, I want to familiarize you with justice and law of England. Finally, I will be glad to hear your questions.
So, what I would like to talk about now is Britain political system. The United Kingdom is a parliamentary monarchy. Unlike many other parliamentary democracies, Britain has no written constitution. Instead, it is ruled according to laws passed by Parliament, decisions made in the courts, and tradition. There are two main political parties: the Conservative Party and the Labour Party. There are also the Liberal Democrats Party and several nationalist parties: one in Wales, one in Scotland and the others in Northern Ireland. The British Parliament has three elements: the House of Commons, the House of Lords, the monarchy. Jointly, these institutions pass laws. The House of Commons elections are held at least every five year. The party winning the most seats usually forms the government. The House of Lords is unelected. It uses its limited power to revised proposed laws. The head of stated is monarch. The monarch today plays a largely ceremonial role. The United Kingdom also sends 81 elected member to the European Parliament.
Now, let’s move on the next point which is economy of England. Britain has an open economy. International trade plays a vital part. Many foreign companies have set up business in Britain. They were attracted by its nearness to European markets, stable labour relations and relatively low taxes....
