Earth day

John McConnell was the first to introduce the idea of ​​the Earth Day at the UNESCO conference on the environment in 1969. People invented this celebration in 1970 when black clouds of toxic smog were visible in the sky. It was legal and all the time the atmosphere was dirty with factory waste. About 1 billion people from more than 193 countries gathered on this day. Today the holiday is celebrated in 192 countries. Last year was the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Our planet can be called our Mother. Without her we cannot live a day. It feeds us, gives us water, warms us up, lets us breathe and protects us from meteorites.
