"Context is all". Does this mean that there is no such thing as truth?

Truth- a simple concept at first sight, commonly used in many aspects of our everyday life, often used as measure of trust between people. When talked of in general everyday terms, truth is assumed to be the universal truth. The question that arises is whether such thing as truth exists at all. Now, these are two clashing positions, one assuming that there is one truth that holds for everything and everybody globally while the other at the same time doubting any presence of truth, globally once more. To say that there is no truth at all would a statement hard to motivate and prove, but at the same time stating that there is a truth that holds true universally is just as complicated. Unfortunately, there is no right or wrong answer to this, just as we cannot state that there is only one truth. Truth is a very relative idea, much more complicated than we assume it to be, involving it in our everyday quarrels, by letting it strengthen and ruin relationships or provide the right choices in life. Much of what we assume to be the truth depends personally on every individual. To be more precise, interpretation is what guides us to accept certain truths to be right or wrong. However, interpretation does not arise out of nowhere to suggest possible truths. This is where Margaret Atwood’s reflection upon context allows us to integrate interpretation in the process of searching for the real truth. Context- the matter that surrounds the truth, what influences and makes it. Eventually, context is us, every single person individually. Our experiences, nationality, abilities, likes and dislikes- all of it makes a universe, a context, that is able to separate certain truths and interpret them in the ways accepted only by the individual people.
