Cartoon impact on children

In this essay I will cover some facts about cartoon impact on children. I was inspired by an announcement which was made about the cartoon ‘The Simpsons’ and it was told that the government wants to forbid it. The reason – bad sample for children.
Nowadays some people think that cartoons are good for children and some don’t agree. It is a normal reaction that people make. You can’t always say if some things are just bad or just good. As in nature, there has to be balance. So I have to say that some impact on children that is made by the cartoons is good and some of it is bad.
The first thing that I would like to cover is about how cartoons reach our life. I think that every child likes cartoons. Of course not everyone likes the same ones. So therefore we have a huge variety of them. There are action, fantasy, comedy, fight and etc. cartoons. Not only there are a lot of genres of cartoons, there are also many channels, for example ‘Cartoon Network’ and ‘Fox kids’ are best known cartoon channels in Lithuania.
So the question must be asked – is it good that children are capable to watch cartoons all day? I’d say that it depends on how parents educate their children. Some parents limit their child’s time that is spent watching TV. But how can they know if the cartoon that is watched maybe just for an hour is a good sample for their child. That’s why some cartoons are even prohibited. While cartoons are being made, they have to pass psychologist’s tests.
