Care of older person

In this assessment I will talk about the presidency of an elderly person. I will discuss their needs, not only physiological, but also spiritual ones, and touch on the nature of a healthy old age. I will also discuss some of the most common diseases among the elderly. I'll look at a few volunteer organisations that help elderly people, and I'm going to talk about the role of a Health Care assistant.

At the bottom of this pyramid, psychological needs, this is the strongest and most important group of needs. These needs are necessary for human existence.
The following group of needs are - security needs. This group includes those that provide a sense of security, that is shelter, protection from danger. When a person feels safe, then they feel calm, and a calm person sleeps better, the digestive system works better. From this, one can come to a conclusion that the feeling of safety is very important for health and general wellbeing.
Social needs, it is belonging to a certain group of people, friendships, feelings of love . Communication, belonging to some social group is very important, same as feeling that you are needed and loved. Especialy when people around you, friends, neighbours and partners start dying. At such a time, an elderly person may start to feel lonely, not needed by anyone.
The need for respect is desired to be valued and respected. It is very important an elderly person to feel independent, to realise that he can take care of himself, that he can make independent decisions.
The need for self-expression is at the top of the pyramid, it can only be satisfied when all the other needs are already satisfied ....
