Bleeding (first aid)

Control blood flow. If the area is covered, remove or cut the cloth to expose the wound.
Lay the victim down. Keep the injured part raised and if the bleeding doesn't stop, lay the victim on a firm surface.
Secure the dressing.
Ask for ambulance.
Monitor the victim.

Symptoms of internal bleeding:
• weakness, usually on one side of your body.
• numbness, usually on one side of your body.
• tingling, especially in hands and feet.
• severe, sudden headache.
• difficulty swallowing or chewing.
• change in vision or hearing.
• loss of balance, coordination, and eye focus.
Abdominal bleeding
This refers to bleeding in the large cavity of the torso, which contains organs such as the stomach, liver, and kidneys.
Some common causes of bleeding inside the abdomen may include:
• damage to the liver, kidneys, or spleen
• damage to a blood vessel in the abdomen
• rupture of a cyst
