Young Riflemens

The RifleMen's Union also referred to as Šauliai is a state-sponsored paramilitary social organization that unites people who are indifferent to the life and defence of the state. Shooters operate in accordance with the Law on LSU adopted by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Statute approved by the Minister of National Defence. Although the RifleMen's Union performs some of the tasks assigned by state institutions, it is an organization of free people who devote their time to the defense and strengthening of the Fatherland. The Lithuanian Riflemen's Union aims to develop confident, creative, motivated and disciplined citizens of the Republic of Lithuania who are ready to defend the Homeland, to help others in case of disaster Every virtuous citizen of Lithuania can become a member of the Riflemen's Union and realize himself by acting in the fields of warfare, sport and culture. Almost 11,000 citizens from the age of 11 are indifferent to small ideas throughout Lithuania today.
