Working youth

My talk focuses on the topic of working youth. The given pie chart displays the most popular places and industries where teenagers work. The chart is separated in to 8 segments, therefore 8 workplaces. Overall, more than half of the chart takes up services and restaurants. As we can see at the top of the list we have services at slightly higher than 30 percent, followed by restaurants at equally 30 percent, almost twice as much than grocery stores averaging at little above than 10 percent. The simular trend is true to agriculture, construction and production, all of these industries being 6 percent respectfully, slightly behind all of these places is department stores at 5 percent, and at the bottom of the list being other retail slightly below 5 percent. We could see that the majority of teenagers prefer to work in services and the least being other types of retail which doesn‘t account grocery stores or department stores.

In regards of working youth in my country, I‘d say many teenagers work in various restaurants, also services such as food delivery apps, but some teenagers seek for various internships or projects to partake in that wouldn‘t be just retail. I think that teens working is a good act, because the work can provide them valuable experience that can also help the teenager make conclusions whether they would like to do such a job or not, thus making the individuals more aware of themselves and their values or passions.
