However, some individuals claim that new technologies weaken our intellect and that we should not adapt to it. Therefore, people are confused, they want to know what positive and negative sides of technology are.
Many experts believe that new technologies have a lot of benefits for society. First of all, the achievements of humanity over the last century have only been made possible by the development of modern technology. Driven by the need to discover, people have created countless innovations in fields such as electronics, medicine and engineering which have improved the lives of billions. Therefore, people’s lives have become incomparably better. For example, they can diagnose and treat illnesses faster, find the information they need online and even have technology do their household chores. Furthermore, technologies can improve our intelligence. Everyone knows that the IQ of technology is much higher than that of humans. Therefore, people can improve their critical thinking and other skills by using new technologies. The computer, for instance, has enabled humans to achieve remarkable things, but only after we adapted our behaviour and learned to use it fully.
