YL teachers are very important, because they help children to discover a completely different, new and useful world. They give children a chance to have more opportunities when they grow up.

When it comes to the age group I am most looking forward to teaching, I think that, at least within the borders of Lithuania, I would like to teach children from the earliest possible age, because it is the first experience for children and it is enjoyable to do it, e. g. to lead the children in to the world of knowledge. The basics of this language can be taught to children even without them understanding it, little by little, easily. English letters are not very different from Lithuanian. Maybe they are even easier than Lithuanian, because individual letters do not have accents like some Lithuanian ones and so on. Personally, I really like classes where you can use more of an informal, playful form of teaching, which is very necessary at an early age, because it creates ground for learning, which children may consider fun and engaging. For example, activities like watching educational animated videos, playing with toys that require some amount of problem-solving skills, communicating in a way which enhances children’s cognitive and other abilities. With such various, playful forms of learning, language teaching would not be in vain and very effective, because my positive attitude and support would motivate students to try and not be afraid to make mistakes. Finally – I would say, that I bond with toddlers and young children from the ages of 3 to 6 more easily, simply because there are a few children of that age in my inner family circle. There is something about the children of that age – they have a huge lust for knowledge, are very playful and careless in a cute way.
